What's Going On At The Nursery
Now And Other Related Items
Updated:
May 2, 2013
May
Hopefully the cold rainy month of April will bring some warmth and May flowers. Things are finally starting to come alive here at the nursery, while it may seem as though we are running behind as far as plant growth goes this may actually be closer to normal. The past few years it has warmed up so quickly things were far ahead of schedule and I think we got use to it so now it seems late. This slow warm up is much better for the plants and will help the blooms last much longer.
This is a busy time here at the nursery, of course the main thing going on right now is our shipping season, and we are shipping our potted plants now and will continue to do so throughout the growing season. As you browse our pages you will find a chart by each pant listing the availability and plant growth stage. Some of our plants have been delayed in production a little by the cold and all of the late snows we had, but this warmer weather should help this along. You might also notice the word RABBIT by some plants, we had a major Rabbit problem this year but hopefully we have that under control now. This is also the time of year we are sowing seeds for out next year crop of plants in our greenhouse. And of course there is the never ending task of trying to stay ahead of the weeds in our houses and our beds.
May is a great time to get out and do some planting so we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Website
We are continuously working on and updating our website. We do our best to keep the plant availability and growth stages up to date but as you might imagine these change quickly this time of year and we are also busy shipping so sometimes we get a little behind on this.
