Actaea racemosa - Black Cohosh

This tall, white spike flower blooms in late summer and grows up to 4-6 feet tall with foliage reaching 3-4 feet tall. When planting, give it ample space as it will have a spread of 3-4 feet at maturity. It can tolerate some sun in colder climates but prefers morning sun. Requires rich, well-drained soil.
