Cephlanthus occidentalis - Buttonbush

A shrub that is deciduous and reaches heights of 6-12', it is frequently found in damp locations such as low woods and along streams and ponds. It produces small, perfumed white flowers in the early to mid-summer, which are popular among bees and butterflies due to their pin-cushion shape.
